WGoB-TV Network Presents: GoB-TV

I thought it was time to merge the two worlds of Guerrillas of Booze.  For over a year, Beers4Plat and I have been writing posts, though it has become more infrequent.  The reason for the infrequency, besides the obvious answer of life and work getting in the way, is we have moved into a second medium.  We have officially entered into the digital video age with our YouTube show: GoB-TV.  I just wanted to make a quick post showing off what we’ve been up to.  The four of us are having a blast making a show talking beer and liquor and we hope everyone else is enjoying it also.  Our fellow guerrilla Jay works very hard recording, editing, and adding graphics and funny touches to create a high quality finished product.  So check it out and if you like what we’re doing give us a like and a comment, and of course, subscribe to the WGoB-TV channel.   Continue reading WGoB-TV Network Presents: GoB-TV

12 Days of Beers Across the World – Day 6

Now it is time to round out the first half of the Beer Camp Across the World 12 pack.  The sixth beer out of the chute is the Hoppy Belgian-Style Golden.  This ale brewed with lemon peel is a collaborative effort between Sierra Nevada and Duvel out of Belgium.  As you might expect for a golden ale, the bitterness is fairly low at 35 IBU and 8% ABV.  The bottle mentions that Duvel brewers are masters of the golden ale, as it’s a style they helped create.  Sierra Nevada added some hop forwardness to the golden ale style which, I guess, creates the “on the nose” name of Hoppy Belgian-Style Golden Ale.  I like hops….I like Belgians….I wonder if I’ll like hoppy Belgians….or at least hoppy Belgian beers….
